Lamborghini’s pretax profits soared for 2006. How high? Profits at the Italian supercar manufacturer more than quadrupled to 18.1 million euros ($24 million USD), versus 4.4 million euros in 2005 ($5.8m).
The Raging Bull’s sales lifted by some 30-percent in 2006, as it shifted a record 2,087 cars. Some of that rise is attributable to the introduction of the Gallardo Spyder and Murcielago LP640 Coupe, of which the automaker sold 817 and 318, respectively.
The automaker also has designs on expanding its dealer network by around ten-percent this year. It says it will add 10-12 dealers to its existing 100, including a number of Stateside showrooms.
